Nature (Beaches & Nature)
Haeundae Beach
Haeundae Beach, a beloved travel destination among Koreans, offers a rich playground filled with five-star hotels and restaurants, an aquarium, and more. This hot travel spot attracts over 1 million visitors during each vacation season.
Gwangalli Beach
Gwangalli Beach boasts a breathtaking view of the Gwangandaegyo Bridge running across the horizon. Enjoy various entertainment activities and performances,such as the Gwangandaegyo Bridge laser show, drone show, and more. The Busan International Fireworks Festival is also hosted here every year.
Taejongdae
Immerse yourself in rich natural ecology and coastal splendor. Take a ferry ride and bask in the coastal cliffs of Taejongdae, or stroll along the circular path. You can also hop on a circular train to explore the park’s popular attractions.
Dongbaek Park
Dongbaek Island, linked to the mainland, has been transformed into a park. The landscape is adorned with the beauty of camellia and pine trees against the backdrop of the sea, making it an ideal destination for a leisurely stroll. The walking route is divided into two options: the Haeundae Beach Course, which lets you savor the allure of the beach, and the Dongbaek Island Course, which follows the contours of Dongbaek Island.
Tradition & History
Gamcheon Culture Village
This village was established as a makeshift refugee camp for those who fled from the devastation of the Korean War in the 1950s. It offers the core of Busan as it was decades before, with houses that line the foot of the mountain and maze-like stairs, alleyways, and colorful exteriors of homes. Such a unique vibe gave the village the name “Machu Picchu of Busan.”
UN Memorial Cemetery
This is the only cemetery designated as a UN memorial cemetery at the 1955 UN General Assembly. It symbolizes the remembrance of the international cooperative spirit for world peace. Visitors can enjoy themed exhibition centers, and the green areas within the park are also perfect for relaxation.
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
Discover the must-visit Haedong Yonggunga Temple in Busan. This unique oceanfront temple is known as the most beautiful in Korea and is famous for its miraculous wishgranting powers.
Beomeosa Temple
Explore Busan’s primary temple and one of the three major temples in the Yeongnam region. It has produced several prominent monks and Zen priests, offering a glimpse into ancient beauties and customs.

Busan Cinema Center
Busan Cinema Center, located within Centum City, has many halls, including three exclusive theaters, Cinemountain, an outdoor stage, BIFF Hill, and more. It also hosts BIFF’s annual opening, closing, and red carpet ceremony. Around 22,000 pieces of cinema-related data are open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. An ID card must be presented when requesting materials.
BUSAN X the SKY
Located atop Haeundae LCT Landmark Tower, Korea’s second-highest building (411.6 m), “BUSAN X the SKY” offers sweeping ocean and city views from the observatory deck.
Haeundae Blue Line Park
Experience the beauty of the blue sky and ocean as you cover the 4.8 km–long stretch connecting Haeundae Mipo, Cheongsapo, and Songjeong with a 30-minute train ride. Choose between the coastal train and the Sky Capsule for breathtaking ocean views.
The Bay 101
A cultural complex in Haeundae where a group of contemporary-styled buildings create a splendid vibe. It is known as a perfect nightscape spot where tourists can enjoy the genuine charms of the sea at nighttime.

Gukje Market is a sprawling marketplace that includes food streets, the Street of Youth, the Street of General Wares, Kkangtong Night Market, Arirang Street, Vintage Alley, and more. It’s a haven for street food enthusiasts, offering delights such as spicy glass noodles, sweet red bean porridge, tteokbokki, etc.
Bupyeong Kkangtong Night Market
Cap your fantastic night out at this public market established during the Japanese Occupational Period, making it the first public market of its kind in Korea. It gained nationwide fame for trading various imported goods, including US Army rations. Today, it’s a popular night market offering regional delicacies from all around Korea and the world.

Yangsan-si
Discover the charm of Yangsan, a scenic city just an hour from Busan that blends mountain serenity with cultural depth. Its most iconic destination is Tongdosa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Korea’s Three Jewel Temples. Founded in the 7th century, Tongdosa is revered for enshrining relics of the historical Buddha, making it a sacred pilgrimage site. Unlike most temples, it features no outdoor Buddha statues—because the spirit of the Buddha is believed to reside within. With forested trails and quiet temple grounds, Yangsan offers a tranquil escape rooted in history and tradition.
Gyeongju-si
Step back in time with a day trip to Gyeongju, the ancient capital of the Silla Kingdom, just two hours from Busan by train or car. Often called “the museum without walls,” this historic city is home to countless relics, royal tombs, and architectural treasures. Among them is Bulguksa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its graceful stone pagodas and spiritual beauty. Nearby, the Seokguram Grotto houses a stunning granite Buddha overlooking the East Sea.
